The evolution of traditional massage originates from the ancient civilizations based on different cultural background and country of birth.

The main objective of traditional massage is to relieve pain, to regulate blood circulation, to release muscle tension and stimulate the nerve.  It involves working with different parts of the body with a different set of hand movement or stroke.

Traditional massage comprises a few branches that extend between the western and eastern culture.  The western massage extends to oil massage, aromatherapy massage, Lomi Lomi and the Swedish massage. Malay traditional massage is also subdivided into two separate categories; men and women because of the issue involving religion.  Malay massage is mainly governed by religious belief, therefore, the female therapist only focuses on women wellness and the male therapist provides men wellness.
